The Planning Department has many resources that may be of use to consultants, developers, or interested citizens. Contact the Planning Department for more information, or click on highlighted text for more details about a particular resource.

Maps

The City's Geographic Information System (GIS) program provides a central resource for geographic data.

Custom Maps

  • The Planning Department offers custom made maps for the general public.  2006 aerial imagery, parcel maps, natural features and other maps can be ordered through the Planning Department. Click here for more information

  • Publications
    Many plans, studies and public documents are available for nominal fees at the Planning Department. Click here for a list

  • 2000 Current Land Use Inventory
    A comprehensive land use inventory of all land within the City of Ann Arbor, including township islands within the city boundaries. Click here for more information 

  • Site Plans on File
    The Planning Department stores site plans for reviewed projects, which are filed by geographic area and street address.  Site plans are available for viewing during normal business hours.  No appointment is necessary, but calling ahead (734-994-2800) will allow us to have the file ready for you.

  • Library
    The in-house library has many planning resources and reference materials, including journals, magazines and books. Please call (734-994-2800) for details.
