Planning and Development Services provides expertise and information to advise and guide the development, redevelopment, construction and preservation of the City of Ann Arbor. The unit provides the following services:

Planning and Development Services also provides support to the City Planning Commission, the Historic District Commission and all appeals boards.
PERMIT, PROJECT AND INSPECTION INFORMATION
To check the status of a submitted permit application, inquire on the status of a site planned project or for confirmation of scheduled inspections, please use our online system eTRAKiT www.a2gov.org/permits, or city staff can answer questions after 8 a.m. by phone, email or in person.

BUILDING PERMIT PLAN REVIEW
All permit applications needing plan review can take up to three (3) weeks depending on the size of the project.
