Parks Lightning Detection System
City of Ann Arbor pools, Gallup Canoe Livery and Huron Hills and Leslie Park Golf Courses are equipped with warning sirens that sound when area weather conditions are conducive for lightning. This system alerts parks users to get out of the water and off the golf courses to avoid the chance of a dangerous lightning strike. To find out more, visit the office of emergency management's lightning detection Web page or click on the parks lightning detection system map (3.07 MB pdf)
