Overview

Frisinger Park is a 3.6 acre neighborhood park on the corner of East Stadium Boulevard and Woodbury Drive in central Ann Arbor. View the Ann Arbor Parks and Nature Areas Map for location context. It hosts many Ann Arbor Rec and Ed sporting events including soccer, baseball, and softball. The playground and picnic areas are well shaded on the south end of the park, far away from the sounds of Stadium Boulevard. The park is a short walk from the Big House (University of Michigan Stadium). Local restaurants and shops can be found on S. Industrial Highway, within a ten minute walk.

Park Notices

Unless otherwise posted per City Council resolution, when a park is closed, no person shall remain in or enter it other than to quietly sit or walk.

Access and Parking

There is free street parking along Woodbury Drive on the west edge of the park.

The park is accessible on foot and bicycle. There is a bike rack on the sidewalk off Woodbury Dr. near the southwestern end of the park. There is a footpath that runs the entire east edge of the park.

The park is near several other city parks including Graydon Park and Iroquois Park.

Public Transportation

There are three bus stops close to the park. The closest bus stop is on E. Stadium Blvd. at the northeast corner of the park. Visit TheRide for route and schedule details and check out the parks ride guide for more information.

History

Ann Arbor's city parks sit on the ancestral and traditional homelands of several indigenous Native peoples. Read a land acknowledgement from the city and learn more about the early history of the land here.

The land that is now Frisinger Park was donated to the city as a gift by the Frisinger Land Co. on June 15, 1936. The softball backstop was built in 1964.
