Bluffs Nature Area is 39.35 acres, located on a glacially formed ridge over North Main Street. Trails wind throughout the park and are accessible from North Main St., just across from Lakeshore St. on the southwest side of the street. There are no facilities at this nature area.
Bluffs has a variety of natural features including an oak-hickory forest, wooded ravines, and an open field with remnant prairie species. There are also a few examples of large older trees including open grown oaks and a huge white ash. This area has long been a favorite place for bicycles, but hikers are sure to enjoy the rugged trails throughout the park.
