12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
The Buhr Outdoor Ice Arena will open January 9, 2010 to April 1, 2010. Our delayed opening and extended closing date are attributed to the fact that we are having a new rink floor constructed. The rink has a cooled subfloor that allows us to maintain ice even when it is over 50 degrees outside! Activities include public ice skating, drop-in hockey and rental hours. The facility has a heated lobby, vending, restrooms and four separate locker rooms for hockey. Skate rentals available (we meet ADA requirements).

Buhr Park Ice Rink Extended Season Policy:
Weather permitting, the Buhr Park Ice Rink season will be extended for a maximum of two weeks after April 1, 2010. Buhr Park management will determine if the weather will allow the ice rink to continue operating at an efficient level after the scheduled April 1 closing date. If the predicted high temperature (per the local cable weather channel) will be consistently below 43 degrees, Buhr Park will continue limited rental hours, public skating, and drop-in hockey times for (up to) one additional week. Rental hours will be offered to previous renters first and then open to the general public. The procedure will be followed again on April 14, 2010, to determine if the Ice Rink will be open for (up to) a second additional week.
