BUHR PARK ICE ARENA WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON
Due to the above-average temperatures of the past few days, the ice surface at Buhr Park Ice Arena has become unusable. In reviewing the forecasted temperatures of the next two weeks, we have determined that we will not be able to maintain a consistent and safe ice surface. As a result, we have made the decision to cancel the remaining three weeks of the 2012 ice season at Buhr Park Ice Arena effective March 12, 2012. Arrangements will be made with Veterans Memorial Ice Arena to try and accommodate our existing rental groups. Season skating passes purchased at Buhr Park Ice Arena will be accepted at Veterans Memorial Ice Arena for the remainder of the season. Buhr Park Outdoor Pool is closed for the season
Buhr Pool features a six-lane, 25-yard pool with a deep well and a separate 0" depth entry children's wading pool with interactive play toys. Buhr Park also features 39 acres of rolling hills, picnic areas with grills, a children's play area, softball diamonds, soccer fields and outdoor tennis courts.
