Neighborhood Parks
The following parks are scheduled for improvements in 2007. Neighborhood residents continue to be very helpful in identifying necessary improvements. We thank them for their input. Suggestions and the resulting plans are featured in the below links.

Sylvan Park

Raptors at the Leslie Science Center
A new raptor center is being constructed at the Leslie Science Center that will house Owls, Red Tailed Hawks, and even a Bald Eagle. 

Tennis and Basketball Courts 
The game courts at Northside, Sylvan, Churchill Downs, Lansdowne Park, and Glacier Highlands are being renovated.

Recently completed 2007 projects
Gallup Park
The new river themed playground near the canoe livery is complete. The playground includes a sand/water area, kayaks, climbing wall, tire swing, spinning boat, hillside slide and climbing sculptures of a turtle and frog. Visit this unique playground to see what makes it so special.

Brookside Park - new play area, including swings, a climber, benches and tables, landscaping, and a new barrier free sidewalk

Wellington Park - new play area, including cable climber, swings, play structure, sand box/boulder seating area, benches, picnic table, landscaping and barrier free access walk

Leslie Science Center Raptor Enclosures - enclosures for 9 birds of prey, including an eagle, owls, hawks, and falcons.

Cobblestone Farm Barn - new windows throughout.

Lansdowne Park - new play structure, swings, pathway, resurfaced basketball court, benches, picnic tables and landscaping

Game Court Resurfacing - at Northside, Churchill Downs and Glacier Highlands

2006 Park Improvements/Updates

Evergreen, Frisinger, Lansdowne, Brookside and Wellington Parks underwent improvements in 2006. We hope you will visit soon!
