
Pre-registration is required. To receive the resident discount, you must be a resident of the City of Ann Arbor and send in a copy of your driver’s license with your registration form. For further information call the Facility Supervisor at Gallup Park 734.794.6240 x 4233.
Please remember, 2009 Parks & Recreation Brochures will not be mailed to homes. We encourage you to use our new online system. Brochures are available at all of our parks facilities.

River Camp for completed 1st - 5th Grades at Gallup Park
Explore the Huron River with fishing, nets, and boats - a week filled with learning, adventure, and fun! Have your kids join us for perfect summer days as we canoe, pedal boat, kayak, motorboat, fish, cookout, art, and play all in wonderful Gallup Park. Campers will have a blast while gaining valuable boating and fishing skills with playing silly games to learn to maneuver their boats around the pond and beyond. All camps will venture out to swim at Fuller Pool and the River Adventurers will spend a day paddling down the river through town. River Day Camp is based out of the Gallup Park Meeting Room adjacent to the canoe livery and our new river themed playground. The camp is licensed by the state of Michigan and the staff are certified in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR and life guarding. Each camper receives a coupon to bring their family and friends back to share the boating fun.

Camp $250 fee/$210 resident discount
Camp Hours:
Monday through Friday
Drop off between 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
Pick up between 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
Extended Camp Hours/Fees:
Hours: 4 to 5:30 p.m. for all sessions
Fees: $50/$40 resident discount
These extended hours include art, games, snacks, fishing and playground fun.

Kayak Camp for completed 6th/7th grades at Argo Park
We tried it in 2008 and everyone loved Kayak Camp! Join us on kayak journeys as each day we explore a different section of the beautiful Huron River. Our adventures on the river include canoeing, kayaking, fishing on Argo Pond and paddling over to Bandemer park for disc golf games and lunch over a bonfire. Friends and fun on the coolest river around!
Kayak Camp is based out of the Argo Livery & Park Pavilion on picturesque Argo Pond. Campers receive a coupon to bring family & friends boating.
Camp Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Camp Fees: $210 A2 Residents, $250 Non-Residents
