We conduct prescribed burns in natural areas for a few weeks in early spring and fall. We rely on volunteers in this limited time frame. To join the crew, attend our annual burn crew training session. Participants have the chance to engage in all stages of a prescribed burn from burn prep to fire control. This is our most physically demanding activity.

Become a part of NAP's Volunteer Burn Crew! This is the required training session for anyone interested in assisting with NAP's controlled burns. Burns typically take place Monday through Friday between noon and 7 p.m. Pre-registration through VolunteerHub at
