 Internships

CTN intern at work in the cablecasting room.

An EMU student monitors CTN's Master Control, where the four access channels are telecast.

Individuals interested in learning about community media and its role in local cable television are encouraged to apply for this internship program. This is an unpaid work experience where the intern is actively involved in the daily operations of a four channel cable access center. The Internship Program offers a supervised work/training environment designed to utilize the individual's talents while providing an opportunity to gain valuable communications skills.  No prior experience is necessary.

It is CTN's intention to provide each intern with an understanding of Community Television. This is not intended to be a video production course, but rather a mutually beneficial work experience. What each intern gains will be determined by his/her contribution and self-motivation. CTN staff will provide each intern with a final evaluation.
