Buhr Park is a 39-acre park serving the south central part of Ann Arbor. The park is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. year round and features softball diamonds, two tennis courts, play equipment, a basketball court, open field play, a sledding hill, picnic facilities with a grill, an outdoor pool with a family activity pool (open in the spring/summer) and an open-air ice arena (open in the fall/winter). Summer day camp is one of the popular programs offered at Buhr Park. To sign up for programs, please use the online registratio​n system​. Buhr ​Park is adjacent to Cobblestone Farm, a historic barn that serves as a venue for weddings and other rental opportunities, as well as the home of the Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation Customer Service Center. ​

Outdoor Pool

​Buhr Park Outdoor Swimming Pool will open for the 2015 season Memorial Day weekend. Buhr Park Pool features a six-lane, 25-yard pool with a deep well and a separate zero depth entry children’s wading pool with interactive play toys. There are 39 acres of rolling hills, picnic areas with grills, a children’s play area, softball diamonds, soccer fields and outdoor tennis courts at our park. There are always two lanes dedicated to lap swimmers only.​

Daily Admission
3 and under free with a paid adult; youth ages 4 to 17, $4; adult ages 18+, $5, and senior ages 55+,$4

Public Swimming May 23 to June 12
Buhr Park Outdoor Pool offers public swimming Monday through Friday from 3:30-7 p.m. and weekends and holidays from noon-7 p.m.

Public Swimming June 13 to Sept. 7
Public swimming is available Monday-Friday from 1-8 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from noon-8 p.m.

Swim Lessons

Adult Lap Swim, noon-1 p.m. | Public Swim, 1-8 p.m.
Adult and Family Swim, 5-6:30 p.m.
Tot Splash, Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from noon-1 p.m.

Private Swim Lessons
Individual swim instruction for swimmers ages 3 to adult, are private lessons, 30-minutes long, and customized to meet the needs of the swimming participant. Private lessons are for one participant only. Fee: Half hour $15 resident; $18 nonresident.
They are offered from June 6 to Aug. 8 on Saturdays from noon-1 p.m., and Monday through Thursday, June 15 to July 30 from noon-1 p.m. 

Group Swim lessons
Please see page 33 for a description of each of our group swim levels from Tadpoles to Orcas! Classes start for ages 6 months and up and we offer a variety of experience levels.

Group swim lessons below, for Tadpole, Minnow, Dolphin and Shark classes are 30 minutes in length. Cost is $45, resident; $55, nonresident. Otter and Orca classes are 45-minute classes in length and are $55, resident; $70, nonresident.

Session 1: Monday through Thursday, June 15 to 25
Session 2: Monday and Wednesday, June 29 to July 22
Session 3: Tuesday and Thursday, June 30 to July 23
Session 4: Saturday, June 6,13; July 4,11,25 28; Aug. 1, 8

aturday Summer Splash Days
Join us for afternoons of special games, contests and prizes Saturdays 2-4 p.m. June 13, July 11 and Aug. 8. Our famous Jell-o pool and Slip and Slide will be featured on Aug. 8 along with a piñata and a watermelon-eating contest. Activities and prizes included in the cost of general admission. there!

Buhr Park Competitive Swim Team
Looking for a fun way to get involved in competitive swimming? The Buhr Park Sharks is an inclusive team. We encourage families and swimmers with special needs to join our club. A registration session is on Friday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Buhr Park Pool lobby. The fee is $125, resident; $150, nonresident, contingent upon City Council approval. Looking for a fun, affordable location to have a birthday party or family get together? We offer rentals of the main pool, the wading pool or both pools combined. Prices range from $52/hour to $169/hour, based on pool choice and residency. To learn more, call 734.794.6234.
