About the Facility

Gallup Park Livery is a recreational facility located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It offers various watercraft rentals for exploring the scenic Huron River, including kayaks, canoes, paddleboats and rowboats. The facility also offers guided river trips, including moonlight paddles and wildlife tours. In addition to watercraft rentals, Gallup Park is a beautiful park with Hiking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas and shelters, and nature areas. The livery is open seasonally from April to October and is a popular destination for locals and visitors alike looking to enjoy outdoor activities in a beautiful natural setting.

CLOSED: Gallup Bridge

A decision was made earlier this week to close the wooden vehicle bridge in Gallup Park to all traffic (vehicles/pedestrians). During a routine inspection, the vehicle bridge was found to have significant structural issues that might pose a risk of failure and should not be crossed for any reason. The City of Ann Arbor is working with utmost urgency to find a solution to this issue as quickly as possible, and we are investigating all options, including the potential for a temporary crossing until the new bridge is constructed.



Gallup offers an accessible boat launch that provides universal accessibility. It is simple and safe to use, so that people of all abilities can board, launch and recover.

We have kayaks, canoes, paddleboats and rafts available to rent. For the Barton to Gallup river trip, advance reservation is required.

Gallup Park Riverview Room Rental

Are you planning a birthday party, baby or wedding shower, grad party or other event? Gallup Park Riverview Room reservations are available all year.

Resident $50/hour
Non-resident $60/hour
