 Permits 

 

Revised Fee Schedule (pdf) as of February 1, 2011

New and Existing Construction Permits
Effective February 1, 2011 all sprinkler, fire alarm, commercial cooking hood, and special agent system reviews will be handled by Planning and Development located at 2000 S. Industrial Highway.  You may contact them at (734) 794-6267 if you have any questions.

Bonfire Permit (pdf)   Fee: $150.00
A Bonfire Permit is required when a resident or organization would like to have a fire on the ground.
If a resident or organization chooses to burn within a container produced by a manufacturer, this is allowable without a permit, assuming all manufacturers recommendations are followed closely.
Any fire may be requested to be extinguished by the fire department if a complaint has been created, with or without a permit.

Fireworks Permit (pdf)  Fee: $150.00 (may also require a tent permit)
Permit application is required to be filled out at the Fire Prevention Bureau.

Prescription Burn Permit (pdf)
     Fee: $180.00 - Residential Burn
             $240.00 - Commercial Burn
     A map of the area to be burned is also required along with the permit application.
