Welcome new residents! Handle your moving materials, recyclables, trash, yard wastes easily and correctly.

Worm bin workshop at the MRF open house on Saturday, Feb. 13. Pre-registration required. Some fees apply if participants wish to pre-order a worm bin kit for $25. Details at www.a2gov.org/mrf. Press release attached (1-page pdf)

Recycle Ann Arbor Drop-off Station Announces New Fee Structure Effective Jan. 2, 2010. $3 per vehicle fee to apply to all customers except for compost sales; quantity discount pricing available (PDF)

A seasonal reminder to clear snow around from solid waste and recycling carts, stacking bins, and dumpsters and maintaing access roads and sidewalks (for disabled pickups) free of snow and ice. Snow memo attached (1-page PDF).

Christmas tree recycling options: Free drop-off area available next to the Drop-Off Station from Dec. 15, 2009 to Jan. 30, 2010. Residential curbside pickups provided the week of January 19-22, 2010 on normal solid waste collection days. Additional options are provided on the press release, attached here.

NEW! Fall 2009 uncooked fruit and vegetable food wastes are now accepted in the city's seasonal compost cart collection program. Press Release (2-page pdf). Also see the Compostables collection page.

Compost collection resumes for the growing season on Monday, Apr. 5, 2010. Other drop-off and on-site management options are available. The press release is attached here.
