 Business Recycling and Refuse Services

Recycling Services

The city provides commercial recycling collection pickups within the city limits at no additional cost to businesses, schools, and nonprofits. Please contact the city’s Recycling Coordinator at (734) 794-6430 ext. 4-3707, the Customer Service Center at 99-GREEN,  or customerservice@a2gov.org for more information. The city contracts with the local nonprofit Recycle Ann Arbor to provide free site visits to help each location sign up for recycling collection bins, pickup services, and to assist as-needed with questions. You may contact RAA directly at (734) 662-6288, recycle@recycleannarbor.org.

Refuse Services for Non-Residential Locations

Nonresidential commercial locations use the city's non-residential refuse collection franchised waste hauler, as described on on the attached page link. Please contact the Customer Service Center at 994-2807 for more information.

Residential apartment locations and nonprofits with both 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(2) status are eligible for weekly refuse dumpster pickups from the city at no charge.

Supplemental for-fee trash dumpster services for commercial and residential locations are also available from the city to handle occasional extra needs. Call 99-GREEN to arrange prepayment.
