**PLAN REVIEW FEES - Beginning, Monday January 7, 2008, applicants for building permits must pay the Plan Review Fee upon submittal of the building permit application.  Previously, this fee was due, along with the building permit fee, when the permit was picked up.

Permit applicaitons that are submitted without this fee, will not be reviewed until this fee is paid.  This rule does not apply to all applications submitted prior to this date.

****TRADE PERMIT FEES FOR ADDITIONAL INSPECTIONS  - Effective March 20, 2008 permit holders of all trade permits (electrical, mechanical, plumbing) will be required to make payment in advance, for all additional inspections which were not included at the time of the original permit issuance.  This includes the necessary inspections required to finalize any open permits.

Previously, extra inspection fees that were incurred were invoiced by the City to the permit holder after the permit was finaled.  This resulted in lengthy delays in closing out the permit.

The fee for all inspections added to an open permit will be assessed at $35 per inspection.  Payment is to be made to the City of Ann Arbor.
