Supervised Bridge Class, Instructor: Ray Gentz
Monday's April 15th - June 17th, 9:30 - 11:30a.m.
Goal is for participants to play 6-8 hands in each session in duplicate style. Each hand will be analyzed looking at declarer play, bidding and defense along with other tips. Class is designed for advanced, beginner and intermediate players who wish to improve their play and defensive skills. Join us at the start and pay for the whole class or drop-in and pay for just those days. Pre requisites: Bridge I and II or equivalent experience.
Senior member $100, non-member, $120. Drop-in fee is $10 member/$12 non-member per class.
Bridge II Play of the Hand, Instructor Ray Gentz
Tuesday's April 16th- June 18th, 10am-12 noon
This class is designed for beginners and low intermediate players who wish to improve declarer skills. The main part of the course deals with play of the hand as declarer. Other parts include bidding reviews, defense, and more. The class will run with lecture and discussion from the text for the first 90 minutes. Students will then play hands for the last 30 minutes. The text may be purchased online or ordered from your local bookstore. Students must register in advance and pre-pay or pay at the first class for all 10 weeks. Defense Bridge Class Part III, Instructor: Ray Gentz
Tuesday's April 16th- June 18th, 1 - 3p.m.
This class is designed for beginners and low intermediate players who wish to improve their defensive play, learn advanced bidding conventions and do play practice with analysis. The class will run with lecture and discussion from the text for the first hour. Students will then shuffle, deal and play hands during the last hour. Hands will be analyzed after completion to review the bidding, play and defense. We will be working on chapters 8-9 in the text which may be purchased online or ordered from your local bookstore if you didn’t take Part I or II. The conventions will be done by handout. Students must register in advance and pre-pay or pay at the first class for all 10 weeks. The class is not designed for drop-ins.
