 Breeding Bird Survey

Our Breeding Bird Survey Kickoff for 2009 is Tuesday, April 21st at 7:30pm!  Spend this winter getting to know the most common birds by sight and sound. Go birding whenever you can, then come to the kickoff and learn how to record your observations and hone your skills.  Surveying is done two to four times during early summer in a single park, and each visit takes a few hours.  Previous experience preferred.

Registration is required!
Please call us at 734-794-6627 or email us at
nap@a2gov.org.

Not ready to commit to the BBS? Join us for a bird-watching walk at:

Gallup Park on Friday, May 15th at 6:00pm
Wheeler Service Center on Saturday, June 6th at 7:30am
Gallup Park on Monday, June 13th at 7:30am

Hone your bird-watching skills by looking for the breeding birds of Ann Arbor!  View our field checklist here (pdf).
