Canoe Liveries Rules and Regulations

Providing safe, fun, relaxing, and pleasant experiences are the primary objectives of the canoe facilities operated by the City of Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation Services. The rules and regulations will be enforced uniformly throughout both canoe facilities.
  • Lifejackets required & provided, we have sizes to fit everyone.
  • Children under the age of 1 years old are not permitted in watercraft
  • All must sign a risk waiver Participation Agreement Form
  • Alcohol, glass bottles and styrofoam coolers are not allowed
  • No more than 3 people allowed in a canoe EXCEPT when there are two participants with a combined weight of less than 100 lbs.
  • No more than three people in a paddleboat
  • A maximum of 5 people are allowed in a rowboat
  • Dogs are welcome!
