City Elections are held in the City of Ann Arbor every year. Elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in August (Primary) and November (General). Polling places are open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on election days.  The City Clerk is the City's chief elections officer and is responsible for the administration of all City Elections.

Important Dates:

Statewide Primary Election - Tuesday, August 5, 2014
General Election - Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Special Elections

Special elections may be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in May or the fourth Tuesday in February as needed. 

August 5, 2014 Statewide Primary Election

The August 5 City Primary Election is the next election in the City of Ann Arbor.  All City polling places will be open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Mayor and Council candidates are listed below.

The last day to register to vote for the August 5 Primary Election is Monday, July 7, 2014. Please email or call the City Clerk for more information or to check the status of your voter registration in the City.

Voter registration forms and absentee ballot requests can be emailed, faxed, hand-delivered or sent via US Mail to the City Clerk. A drop box is also available in City Hall for ballots, applications and other Clerk's Office forms.

City residents can check their voter registration status online and view sample ballots by visting the Secretary of State's voter information center at www.Michigan.gov/vote.
